Kota Belud is a nice place to visit..its like another place that adds the myriad colours of Sabah.
Majority of the people living at the coast are bajau..while those that stay near the hills are native Kadazan dusun.
I can say that what I like about Kota Belud are its fantastic view of Gunung Kinabalu (Mount Kinabalu), it's tasty but cheap 'mi sup', Noodle soup, its views and perhaps its food especially kuih..pisang goreng..very authentic.
One of the major events held here every year is the "Tamu Besar Kota Belud", where you can find almost anything sold.
